The rain
During this time, heavens open up, showering their love upon this wonderful home of ours, mother earth.....making it lush, making it wholesome, quenching the thirst of the soil. Its this love which keeps the world alive, replenished and abundant.
Have we started taking this awesome phenomena for granted ? Have we reduced it to a mere scientific explanation ? Or do we feel an awe and wonder somewhere, even if in the subconscious ? It does not matter how we deal with its occurrence, whether we welcome it like a peacock spreading its feathers and dancing or whether we choose to take shelter beneath the oak tree ? The question is do we feel the presence ? Do we feel gratitude for the abundance i brings ?
A few ways to hygge in the rains
Read an interesting book, Catch up on incomplete conversations, Head off for some time in nature, amidst the drizzle, the mist, the awesomeness of the season, trekking away in the mountains or staying back in the quietude of wonderful company. Wear those gumboots and jump on the puddles, make a paper boat watching it sail away to glory by the streams beside sidewalk bringing out the child within. Kiss your beloved beneath the pouring skies, Sip on a warm drink in the company of loved ones, Make yourself some crispy fritters or a spicy meal, enjoying it with some binge watching on television.
